Q. Does it work?
A. Only with a committed effort! Work diligently in
manageable steps, show up even when you'd rather not,
and you will see dramatic results. You either develop
the habit of facing your fear or avoiding it. Each time
you show up, you will be doing things you were unable
to do the session before and making a deposit in your
confidence bank.
Q. How long does it take to get
better?
A. There is a direct correlation between your
motivation and commitment and the speed with which you
see results. Your patience and diligence will be
rewarded; but, in this race, the tortoise beats the
hare.
Q. Will it get rid of my anxiety?
A. The goal is learning to accept and function with
the anxiety, and appreciate your accomplishment.
Fortunately, with practice, you gain confidence that
you can function with the fear, and anxiety does
eventually dissipate.
Q. If I get comfortable in the
group, which is a safe environment, how will that help
me in the real world?
A. The program is designed to teach you how to expand
your zone of comfort. As you learn what drives your
fear and acquire skills in public speaking and social
interaction, you will be ready to face new challenges.
At that point you will be encouraged to move on to
arenas (which may be too intimidating at present) such
as Toastmasters, acting class, participation in
community groups, etc.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. An initial investment of $425 for 10 sessions.
Upon completion, you can renew at a substantial
discount for the subsequent block of ten sessions.
